Secrets of Avatar

Those of you who saw Avatar may focus on the look of the film and how cool or not cool the 3d version is or you may focus on the similarities between Aliens, Dances With Wolves, and Avatar; and that's totally fine. But more than just a deja vu feeling that presents itself in Avatar is the fact that this movie has happened before. You probably saw this movie when you were a kid and you probably thought it was the most kickass movie ever; this movie was called the Secret of Nimh.
Its main character, Mrs. Brisby(Jake Sully) needs to save her home(a planet), but needs help to do so. Mrs. Brisby(Jake Sully) gets a magic neckless(magic body)from her dead husband(brother)and finds herself on a strange journey where she has to befriend a different species of Rodents(humanoids) called Rats(the Na'vi). Mrs. Brisby(Jake Sully) falls in love with a Rat(a Na'vi) named Justin(Neytiri)who teaches her(him) the ways of their species. But Mrs. Brisby(Jake Sully) needs more help and must speak with Nicodems(Eywa) whom the bad guy Jenner (Colonel Quaritch) is focused on destroying and will stop at nothing to do so. In the end the bad guy Jenner(Colonel Quaritch) is beaten and killed with the help of magic neckless(magic body) and a very sharp object.
Same film, sorta.

Sidenote:
In addition to the borrowing content from Secrets of Nimh, a type of magical metal is discussed in Avatar. This magical metal is called Unobtainium, which was referred to in the not-so-well-known film the Core. The metal holds unbelievable energy and seems to have magic powers in both films.

Oh Hollywood, why must you use some much content from movies that have already been made.
