The world waits for the Apple to get off its' ass and release the most talked about thing since, well the last product Apple released. But the elusive Tablet may or may not come out in mid 2010 (even though it was suppose to be here in Dec 09). In the mean time while the rest of us wait to pay $500 (?) for what suppose to be the latest and greatest of technologies on the planet, some little kids are going to get the technology for next to nothing.
OLPC (one laptop per child) plans on having this bad boy available to the "world's poorest children" in 2012 (hopefully sooner) for $75. So you, early to late 30's hipster won't have the most kickass, most advance touchscreen thing ever, but some kid in the middle of nowhere will be typing, youtubing, blogging, and learning on something that only
aliens could dream of. Which is actually pretty awesome!
