Volume XI: 2009 NEWS with a storm

It's Dark out there and the Snow begins to fall.
Across the sea of white 2.6 million have been lost and the rest are freezing. Huddled together for warmth some fires begin to look presidential and some...some just burn out. There's not enough heat to stop all the cold that has come and although we have become more equal and together, we feel alone. The wind whistles through Holy Lands and madness screams through the air. Some frost takes over and pipes become brittle and all but stop. Our neighbors may not get the heat they need and for now all seem powerless to provide blankets. The freedom to go and do seems a distant memory. Staring through the window the fog of distrust begins to narrow our view. Ice takes over western roads and nothing is made to drive. The snow keeps falling. Winter seems to be forever and nothing seems to stop this storm.

This icy blizzard is going to be long and for now during the darkness we may have to stay inside. But at some point it will be day and we can go out and claim these snow covered hills as our own. We can take our sleds and ride atop this winter.
Spring will come and so will the heat of the sun.
